Originally from Basel and now based in Bern, Helena is the vocalist of Gira Sol. With her gentle voice and authenticity, she shapes the warm sound of the band. Through her Brazilian roots, she feels particularly connected to Bossa Nova and Samba—musical styles that reflect her cultural heritage. Helena performs in English and Portuguese, making the poetic beauty of the Portuguese language accessible to an international audience.

Elias Bieri
Elias, from Solothurn and now based in Bern, is the guitarist of Gira Sol. His love of music began early. Inspired by funk, R&B, soul, blues, and some jazz, he has built his personal style over the years. Bossa Nova represents a meaningful artistic direction for him—a style that invites him to work with new rhythmic and harmonic possibilities.

Tobias Asuming
Tobias is a percussionist and vocalist trained at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. With over 15 years of percussion training spanning African and Latin American traditions—including time spent in Ghana—Tobias brings depth and cultural grounding to Gira Sol's sound. His rhythmic foundation and vocal contributions shape the band's character.
